Michelle Williams in Vogue
" In her eyes
the world sees a crumbling ball of flames
but she is on fire, on fire
she is dancing on tables
behind those eyes" fashion and fables
Michelle Williams dazzles on the cover of October's Vogue (USA). The interview is worth a read as well. Check it out!

Lady of Leisure - Suno's 2010 Resort Collection

Lyndsey Scott and Prada
Fashion's elites, not known for sentimental and drawn-out farewells, have packed their much coveted Nicolas Kirkwood shoes and air-kissed London goodbye! Yes, it's time for the Italian based-designers to dazzle at Milan. I wish i could have tagged along, even as hand-luggage, but alas... some other spring perhaps, mon dieu it's autumn already....
But i bring news from Milan! This afternoon Prada's show caused quite le stir, in a good way. There goes my dream of a good Italian melodrama and catfight!
So what's the stir about you ask? Well, Prada is renowned, or notorious, you be the judge, for featuring mainly white models on their runway. This season, however, they featured three non-white models: Shu Pei Qin, Liu Wen and Lyndsey Scott on their Spring/Summer 2010 runway.
The very beautiful, not to mention leggy, Lyndsey Scott is no a stranger to such, she was also the first model of color to score an exclusive with Calvin Klein on their runway early this year. Bella

Nicole Farhi's Party Girl
"The band lost its drummer
to the head waiter
who forgot to spike the punch
but she strolled into the party
and gave it a pulse" ⓒfashion and fables
Oh Nicole. Be my live-in tailor? I been known to offer quite generous packages to my employees... and for you i would be open to negotiations... please bear in mind that when i say generous, i mean that you will probably be reimbursed by way of ummmm sonnets and delicious food?. Did i mention i bake as well? yeah, this would probably be a step-down for you. I understand, no hard feelings.
I pledged my undying love for Nicole Farhi a long time ago, not only is she a great designer with an amazing sense of proportion, colour and form, she totally kicks ass, have you seen her hair.....
Last season, my heart ceased to function for a good minute when i received an invite to her show at the Royal Opera House.... Alas, this season i couldn't score a ticket... sad. tres.
Le fashion, one minute you are hot, the next you are sitting at home dressed in a Gap sweatshirt and eating ginger snaps while watching Project Runway and wondering why Nicole's people didn't invite you this season!
Thank goodness one can blame all unpleasantries on the recession. Love it!
Speaking of recessions, gone are the free bagels with salmon at London Fashion Week?!? Yep. gone, as are the Marks and Spencer grapes, the delicious muffins and apple juice. Granted they were gone last season too. But it's still hurts, i used to skip breakfast for the free stuff but now you get free water? yah. L'eau. I have a tap at home you know! I have a trap!
next season. next season. This season i can catch shows i missed on le style.com.
I love this collection, to me it's something that captures one's attention in a seamless and simple manner. I like that, i like that just as much as i like my ginger snaps
auf wiedersehen. Project Runway is so amusing.
And, yes all images are from Style.com.

Prabal Gurung
"We fare trivialities over breakfast
before devouring a mindful noon
now it breaks my heart
that appetites are weak
and we only speak
through verses i pile on my dresses" Fashion and Fables
How beautifully loaded are these dresses. Prabal Gurung is an amazingly talented designer who worked for the likes of Bill Glass before launching his own line last season. I feel you never have to speak wearing one of his gowns, you just quietly walk through a crowd.

Lady Chatterley's Lover- Doo Ri's Spring collection
I slipped into this
only to disrobe at your command
Ever read Lady Chatterley's Lover?
Well, i have, when i as like 13, by accident, i swear it was. My parents filled le library with any old classic, without necessarily reading the synopsis, or so i tell myself. I didn't finish reading all of it, if that's any consolation... i did have favourite passages i liked to read over and over again.... see a trip to the library in my future
Well, for those who have taken in the word of D. H. Lawrence, should understand why Doo Ri's collection makes me think of Constance, or rather Lady Chatterley, all prim and proper, and then getting it madly on with the gardener while her husband sat paralysed in a chair... damn that sounds really wicked now.. ummm. it wasnt , well, it was about knowing that "body without mind is brutish; mind without body is a running away from our double being"
Also a reminder that Gardeners are handy as is the talented Doo Ri. She is. That she is. I want!
Fashion Night Out Uncensored
I have been sitting here for a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to describe Le Fashion Night Out.
Then it occured to be that i sent a friend a condensed "funny" recap, which took a couple of minutes to write! Why not just be lazy and use that, editing the lame bits of course? Well, simple because you all might get to see that i am very silly about a lot of things and then never want to play dress up with me...... but what the hell, i am tired, it's almost 2 and i know you can love this part of me too..
so here it goes:
Just walking in from le fashion night out. i will have you know i went prepared: i bloody hell wore boots, my pretty pretty brown boots, just so i could walk a lot and enjoy le cocktails and bat eyelids at fashion elites and fashionistas alike. and of course dance the night away
what did i get, only a bloody half a glass of champagne, why i should move to NY.
actually why i should have left earlier as they were some pretty cool events in the morning, and i should get gigs for more established and super cool publications ......
But yes. i did see this pretty cool "live window display" where some hot chicks where gyrating posing as "live" mannequins in Guess.
whatever. i don't like GUESS. I liked their jeans long ago but yah, too overpriced for my liking! And, of course i bopped my head a bit, to some super cool famous DJ chick at Topshop, who i have never heard of, but just pretend and smile. just pretend and keep smiling i told myself, secret to life! Keep smiling. And where is my free vitamin water topshop! where?
erhh but i digress, who exactly is paying for the extra sales staff, the security and the catering that has gone into this night!
well my mamma does, why i am so freaking rich :)
i guess the idea is that the profit made will cover the "extra" cost. and people were buying , man i almost bought. Jaeger had like 20 percent off. man, it took a lot of restraint to just walk away. walk away in those pretty boots now lassie.
And the champagne is probably cheap stuff. and the staff are probably 15 year old teenagers, lucky to get minimum wage and a night out under mom and dad's thumb or Eastenders on the tube! is Eastenders on one a Thursday night?
How am i supposed to know, i am a fashionista and only watch fashionable stuff like you know erhhh GOSSIP GIRL!
don't mind me just bitter. wanted CRYSTAL
got to take off my boots now
Lakshmi Menon for Vogue India
"My heart thought it was winter
saw the waiting short
and the heaviness
but the knitted weight wrapped around my neck
it's only been hours
it's only been hours
my eyes sank
it must have been only hours?
i waited all this time in vain" le fashion and fables
Lasksmni is so beautiful and the photographer responsible for this shot is very talented. I love the colours. Shoot appeared in March 2009 edition of Vogue India.

Last days of Summer - A Roman Holiday
Actually it's more like a South London break in the grass
but Roman Holiday has more of a ring to it i think :).
Out to sit in the sun and eat ice-cream!
think i shall skip the toxic looking bubble-gum flavour this time.... time to branch out
see you later... in a tan!
if only i had a hat like this. shame. some other summer!
Can i be a Sophomore for life?
I was one of those kids that sometimes didn't want to move on to the next grade. Because you know, what about Ms. Teacher? Wouldn't she be lonely without us, and i kind of like these chairs' they are comfy and colourful, and all the finger paints are just by the sink where i know we left them. And you know the other teacher might not be so cool... but then i snapped out of it.
Went back to those feelings while checking out Sophomore's latest laid-back and comfy collection.
